What is Oliver Daily News?
It is the start of my day as I sip my morning coffee, I get all the latest local news, I learn what is happening in council chambers, what may or may not be happening with Parks and Rec. info on supermarket specials, what is on the entertainment scene and also cost and place where tickets are available. In fact, everything I need to know about my little town, and it’s happenings, are right there at the click of a button.
I especially like the fact that any person can give their own feedback on any item. I do not always agree with what is said, but how great to have an editor who prints both the pro and con arguments, not just a one sided view. It is a real benefit be able to hold a debate where both sides are represented and I find out both sides of the story.
The ability to have articles printed on any subject is a wonderful opportunity for budding writers to flex creative muscles and everyone has something to say at some point in their life.
Local events are well advertised, several times, whether it be public discussions or live entertainment this makes planning to attend an easy process.
Our town paper does a great job but, with only being printed once weekly, it takes a while to get the info out to the public.
With ODN news is fresh with updates regularly, sometimes several times a day, so we are always bang up to date. It is a regular habit by both Dave and I to check our email several times a day then, straight away, check ODN, it is just a part of our daily life.

As a couple who will be relocating to your great little community in the very near future I have enjoyed looking at ODN on a daily bases. I find it to be one of the best sources of information about what we can expect to see happening and what we have to look forward to do when we get there. Also I will continue to practice my Mortgage Brokering business and know I will be able to find a number of clients I can help. We are moving from the Sunshine Coast and know there are already a number of Coasters living there. Keep up the great reporting I look forward to every day.
