The society has listed a maternity leave posting on their website for a temporary supervisor and the manager’s posting will be issued shortly.

In other Oliver Parks and Recreation business from the regular November meeting held Monday:
Motion passed to support the effort of the RDOS to secure tenure on the existing hike and bike path along the river.
Parks Improvement Plan reviewed again with a push for reduction in mowing and weed cutting labour through the use of more natural treatments. The parks board is seeking concept plans for both Rotary and Lion’s Park.
The board approved the annual grant in aid to the Alliance Church for its Christmas Dinner. It renewed a service agreement between the Society and the RDOS.
