The best is yet to come – Feed the Food Bank
We have gotten to the time that makes us think of the upcoming Christmas season. And as a returning favorite the Oliver Arts and Craft Show will be part of it again!
For the 39th time, on Friday, November 20 from 10 am to 7 pm and on Saturday, November 21 from 10am to 4 pm the Oliver Community Centre will host this great event once more!
The best of handmade articles can be had at this annual display of innovative, practical and useful ,if not delicious, items! From iron works for the great outdoors to maple syrup for the Sunday morning waffles, to the Christmas cake you don’t have to bake to warm afghans to cuddle up with your favourites will be for the taking.
Handcrafted jewelry in many different makes and shapes are on display but also sparkly ornaments and glassware. This community has a great quilting guild and for a tree skirt or place settings and ornaments locally made this venue has it. And visit the weaving and knitting guild, that has lots of great handmade articles that may surprise you! Your best bet is to come on down and find a treasure that is meaningful and fun to give. The kitchen will be open again for lunch and dinner on both days with the delicious food we come to enjoy. Take a seat and visit for a while.
We also like to remember the less fortunate in our community and ask for you to bring a nonperishable item to the event in lieu of an entrance fee. In the past you all have been very generous and we hope you will be again.
