NOTE RE PARKING AT SKAHA BLUFFS:
The popularity of Skaha Bluffs on the long weekends in spring and fall has led to some access and safety concerns. In the past, vehicles parked on either side of the single lane paved park road have made accessing the parking lots difficult as well as being a potential problem for emergency vehicles.New “No Parking” areas will be signed – there will be no parking along the single lane park road. If needed, overflow parking will be available at the bottom of Smythe Road. BC Parks staff will be enforcing the no parking areas.- CAUTION: There have been a number of recent vehicle break-ins at the parking lots at Skaha Bluffs. If possible, don’t leave valuable items in your vehicle. Ensure that any valuables are out of sight and that your vehicle is locked. Report suspicious activity and thefts to the RCMP.

Good acceptance of the draft plan and generally meets with the approval of a wide range of park visitors. Clarification was required on the role of a portion of the park called Sub-Lot 18 (Gillies Creek Corridor), which was a private land acquisition and now part of the Class A Park.
Public consultation period ends on Nov. 30, and then BC Parks will be revising the draft plan based on feedback.
