Oliver Elementary School lands funding for upgrade
OES will be able to proceed with a routine capital project thanks to $140,000 in provincial funding. This improvement will help provide healthy, safe and modern learning environments.
The project will see the replacement of the remaining sections of roof that were not completed this summer.
Work is expected to be completed by spring 2016.
“The completion of this project will greatly improve the infrastructure and operating efficiency of Oliver Elementary School,” Boundary-Similkameen MLA Linda Larson said. “Our government is committed to providing students with learning environments that are safe and up to date.”
This project was approved under the province’s routine capital program. Projects were chosen based on need, priority, and supporting student learning.
