On July 6, 2015, the Conservation Officer Service received a report of an orphaned bobcat kitten in the area of Osoyoos.
With help from the public the kitten was safely captured and transported to the BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops. The attached photo shows the kitten as captured in July and then recently released back into its home range. In these circumstances and due to the low risk that bobcats pose to public safety, this bobcat was an excellent candidate for rehabilitation and release. The COS would like to send a special thanks to those involved, including members of the public and the BC Wildlife Park, for their excellent work and dedication to the protection of BC’s wildlife.
