Morley Carter
May 14, 1938 – October 20, 2015
Morley passed away peacefully with his wife Calie; his children, Tom and Tess and granddaughter Corinna at his side.
Morley was born in Kelowna and raised in Oliver, attending his school days in Oliver. Morley became a member of the R.C.M.P. (Security) in 1964, serving for nearly 28 years. Morley and his first wife, Corrie retired in 1991 to their lovely home at Twin Lakes. Morley is predeceased by his oldest brother Don. Corrie passed away in 1999.
Morley is survived by his present wife Calie; his children Tom and Tess (John) and three grandchildren, Corinna, Ken and Phillip. Morley is also survived by brothers Ron and Dal (Gaye) and sister-in-law Ruth.
Morley was a wonderful husband and father. He loved his 48 Ford that he had restored, showing it off in many car shows – winning trophies. Morley enjoyed his choirs, he took great delight being a clown, making people laugh. Morley was a great neighbour and friend.
We give thanks for Morley’s life he was so near and dear to us. We pray that nothing good in Morley’s life will be lost and all that was important to him will be respected by those who will follow. Those of us who were close to Morley may now, because of his death, be even closer to each other.
MORLEY’S JOURNEY JUST BEGUN
Don’t think of him as gone away – his journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets – this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched…. for nothing is ever lost and he was loved so much.
