Mrs. Florence Forrest (Flossie) of Coquitlam and a formerly long time resident of Oliver passed away at the Madison Retirement home in Coquitlam at the age of 95 years.
She was predeceased by her husband William Forrest in January of 1998.
Flossie will be fondly remembered by her loving family including son Bob Forrest of Pentiction; daughter Sandra Strugess ( Jim ) in Coquitlam; her grandchildren Keri Sutherland (Ian) of Coquitlam, Michael Sturgess of Vancouver, Jeffrey Forrest ( Jessie) of Penticton and Sean Forrest of Vancouver as well as great-grandchildren Jordan and Avery Sutherland and Kael and Ayla Forrest.
She grew up on a farm in Lillydale, Saskatchewan with three sisters and three brothers. Flossie rode horseback to and from Lillydale School. She married William Forrest in August 1947 and moved to Oliver in 1948 where she resided for 66 years and raised her son and daughter. What she loved most was spending time with her family.
Flossieās life should be celebrated because she was fortunate enough to watch her children grow up, her grandchildren grow up and meet her great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly missed by her family and friends.
She resided at Meadow Gardens and enjoyed many card nights with her neighbors. Flossie loved to play her piano for her family or friends whenever she could.
