A number of people will say from reading ODN – Jack Bennest has made up his mind – he is anti – National Park. What is true is that Jack Bennest is PRO park. (please note the lack of the word NATIONAL.
This picture may be unfair but I think it is typical of the budget cutting and neglect of the Provincial Government on parks, conservation, environment, etc. Is Victoria doing what is necessary to prevent citizens from trying to invoke National Park status?…..because OUR provincial government is sometimes neglecting the basics and trying to find quick fixes for long term problems.
YES sometime you have to tax more to get the job done right. If you want to stop the National Park idea from spreading – Victoria – do your job, spend some more – provide leadership.
Linda Larson – Mary Polak – I am speaking to you.
This week is the final week of citizen participation commenting on the Park – 1, 2, 3 concept that only those in the know truly understand.
1. Near Osoyoos without Mt. Kobau – National Park
3. Ok Falls (quite misunderstood as to what is included) – National Park
2. Oliver West – provincial jurisdiction for the continuance of hunting, fishing and RVing in the outback.
Has it satisfied ALL or does it actually contribute to the “devisive” nature of the whole idea.
You can never win when the left side and the right side are SO far apart.
P.S. the no side is now buying ads on ODN
The yes side is now buying ads in the Osoyoos Chronicle ?
