PENTICTON — A head-on collision in Penticton has claimed the life of a man.
It happened around 7:04 p.m. on Friday ~ Lakeside Rd. at Park Access Road. (South east Penticton)
RCMP say a grey Kia travelling north collided with the Ford which was travelling south.
Both drivers became trapped in their vehicles and firefighters had to extricate the men from both vehicles.
The driver of the Kia was taken to hospital where he later died. He was 67. The driver of the pickup was 30 years old.
Police say the victim’s identity is not being released at this time.
Witnesses say they heard a loud bang and saw the truck going through the air. Patients were taken to hospital with what’s being described as “serious injuries”. The road was closed for several hours.
