SOICS is offering some useful and interesting events:

– Elections Canada will be available in the Oliver office this evening from 6-8 for anyone who needs to register to vote

– Emergency First Aid for Industry – Oct 21 in the Oliver office (available to all but preference given to immigrants)

– IELTS test – Oct 24 in the Penticton office (International English Language Testing System)

– A series of three ethnic cooking demonstrations through November. This program is for seniors, immigrant or otherwise. If you are interested in attending, please contact me. The sessions are free and will be held in the commercial kitchen of the Baptist Church in Osoyoos. Registration is free but limited.
