On Thursday September 17th, at 1:45 p.m. the Oliver RCMP, RCMP -Regional General Investigation Service and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on a residence on Hwy 97 north of the town.
From information obtained during the investigation, police believed the individuals associated to this residence could have a propensity towards violence and were believed to be in possession of firearms.
Due to potential risk to our officers executing the warrant and that of the public, the Southeast District Emergency Response Team was requested to assist in the execution of the search warrant.
As a result of the warrant execution, four individuals were taken into custody without incident.
During the search, police seized restricted firearms, stolen property and drugs.
Charges will be recommended against the individuals arrested who will appear in court at a later date.
