RCMP have charged a man with two counts of first-degree murder in the Alberta Amber Alert case.

The body of two-year-old Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette was found Tuesday near Blairmore in the Crowsnest Pass.

Police say Derek James Saretzky,  22, is also charged with one count of committing an indignity to a human body.

The tragedy began to unfold Monday morning when Hailey’s father, Terry Blanchette, 27, was killed in his home and his daughter was taken away in a speeding white van.
