We, the family of Carson William Ruhland, thank you, friends, relatives, neighbors, acquaintances, clients, co-workers, band-mates, teachers, businesses and the community of Oliver, for your many expressions of sympathy towards us after the loss of our beautiful son, brother and uncle.

Prayers, hugs, food, plants, seeds, a tree, emails, letters, cards, coffee & teas, texts, CD`s, dog food, extra garbage tags, haircuts, massages, groceries, drivers, masses, Penticton craft brews, car washes, tributes, songs, pulling weeds, babysitters…and messages from across Canada, The Netherlands, Australia, Italy, England, Belgium, Austria, Philippines, France, Switzerland, Spain…all help to ease the loss we bear. They have kept us from drowning in this storm we now find ourselves in.

For Carson`s final farewell we are eternally grateful for: Carson`s Godparents John & Linda, Daryn & Nunes-Pottinger, Father Neil, Father Martin, Tom, Larry, Chace, Gma & Gpa, Jared, Mike, Polo, Sean, Taylor, Travis & Travis, Bobby, Ken, Richard, Joe, Ron, Lin…and YOU!

We cling to the many amazing memories, gifts and talents of Carson. We listen to his music – the language of the soul. We feel his spirit in nature. Brother Sun. Sister Moon. Brother Wind. Sister Fire. We eat fruit, veggies & herbs from his garden. Fortunately we see his art, musical instruments & wood work all over our house. We will struggle to define, create, cherish and live in “the space between us”.

May Carson’s messages of love to enjoy life’s simplicity, passions, nature, music and creation continue to inspire us. We challenge you to do the same!
