For many years I have looked to the west to see a treed hillside.

The fire has exposed the rock face to me that had been hidden by fairly heavy tree cover.

Now that smoke has basically gone (hopefully for ever) we can see the damage and wait for regrowth of grass and new life on the west ridge.

The back burn, the controlled fire, was horrendous as an image but necessary to end it all.
