On September 9th, 2015, Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force members along with Oliver RCMP apprehended Marcus Wilfred SHEENA on a Canada Wide Warrant in Oliver, BC. SHEENA was wanted for breaching conditions of his sentence of 2 years for the offence detailed below:
On September 17, 2011, Sheena and a female accomplice approached two male victims sitting in their Penticton garage, SHEENA hit the victim in the stomach with a ball-peen hammer. He hit the second victim in the head and neck with a ball-peen hammer when he tried to assist the first victim. The second victim was also stabbed in the neck. He pushed the second victim to the ground out of the garage while the female accomplice choked the first victim unconscious. The second victim managed to escape and call 911. SHEENA was later arrested after his DNA was identified on a cigarette. His victims suffered significant physical and psychological harm. The judge noted that one of the victims suffered life threatening injuries and is very fortunate to be alive. SHEENA’s criminal history is lengthy with more than 25 convictions as an adult, consisting of robbery, breach of trust, property, obstruction, various assault, and drug offences.
