The club is celebrating its 70th anniversary, however Rotarian, Thelma Forty at 95 years old has seen nearly all of the club’s activities. She was recognized as our longest surviving member
Giving a brief historical synopsis of the club’s activities were Doug Corbishley and Ron Worth, sons of two the founding members of the club Don Corbishley and Tom Worth.
One of the avenues of service for the club is local initiatives. The Oliver Rotary club was instrumental in getting Highway to Healing established. On the 70th anniversary, the support of this now independent charitable society continues. President Brian Goy presented a cheque for $1000 to society directors Ernie Dumais and Joan McCaughey
