Kelowna – Police are investigating after two men were sent to hospital in serious condition following a shooting in Rutland.
On September 6, 2015 at 10:50 pm, the Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 1400 block Terai Road. A male was heard yelling followed by a number of gun shots and then silence. Numerous RCMP officers descended on the scene including the Police Dog Services. A thorough search of the area was conducted however no suspects were located.
At 11:00 pm Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded at a report of a (27-year-old male) gunshot victim in a residence in Rutland.
At 11:02 pm EHS responded to a report of a (33-year-old male) as a second gunshot victim at a different residence in Rutland.
Both men were transported to Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) in serious condition.
Both men are from Kelowna and are not forthcoming with details.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
