On August 25, 2015 at 5:07 pm, the Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at a jewellery store located in the 1200 block of Cannery Lane. Two men entered the store, locked the door behind them, brandished a weapon and stated “we are taking all your gold”. Suspect male (1) took the store employee to the rear of the store while suspect male (2) loaded a black back pack with merchandise. The men then fled out the front door, through a parking lot and split up. Suspect male (1) was subsequently tackled by four concerned citizens but the culprit got away and ran off. Suspect male (2) was last seen getting into a blue/grey SUV and driving off east on Cawston Avenue. The back pack was returned to the store employee.

Suspect male (1) is described as:
•45 years old
•Scruffy face
•Thin build
•6’1 (185 cm)
•Dark blue hoodie
•Darker “SWAT” baseball hat

Suspect male (2) is described as”
•40 years old
•Darker complexion
•Larger build
•Blue coveralls
•Bright orange safety vest

Police made extensive patrols in the area however the suspected miscreants were not located.
