MLA Linda Larson, Acting Mayor Maureen Doerr, Area C Director Terry Schafer and Parks Manager Carol Sheridan shared the podium to thank Oliver firemen, Willowbrook, Osoyoos and OK Falls firefighters, Search and Rescue (Penticton and Oliver/Osoyoos), ambulance and Ministry staff on the front line for their work in keeping the community safe.

The crowd fairly large cheered as a parade of fire trucks entered the park prior to the officials assembled on the community stage. The volunteers treated to a special appreciation meal for them and their families. It was also Music in the Park night along with Baseball Camp and the Thursday outdoor market.
