We would like to give a public, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the Fire Chiefs, Firefighters, Forestry personnel and the many volunteers who have been and are still fighting the wildfires that surround us in the Boundary – Similkameen.

These are men and women who put their lives at risk for neighbors, for friends, and for people they’ve never met because it is the job they choose to do and they do it very well.

The word that best describes these people is “HEROES” (definition: men and women who are admired for their courage, outstanding achievements and noble qualities). This is definitely who they are and we thank them so very much.
