Members of Keremeos Fire Department attend on a fire that gutted one mobile home and set alight a grass fire near Highway 3 west of Keremeos. Location on LS Indian Land, past the ‘rock’, just before the four lane section heading to Hedley. South side near Similkameen River.

No known injuries. More details as they become available.

Additional info: Firefighters with the local Fire Department and a three-person initial attack crew from B.C. Wildfire were on the scene mopping up the fire about 8 kms west of Keremeos.
Fire started around 9 a.m Saturday and grew to about 1.5 hectares before crews got a handle on the blaze.
