OFFICIAL CONCERT REPORT! Last Saturday (July 18) was one of our best turnouts ever here at the Old Firehall!
Devon Coyote blew us away with their songs and energy, and had the dance “floor” (alley gravel) packed with folks young and unyoung, kicking up the dust and cheering them on. The Mojito Cocktail cask was emptied almost immediately, but luckily there were Noteworthy Gin Mojitos from Dubh Glas Distillery to keep the mint madness going. Hester Creek poured their excellent wines for us as well, and this particular brewer very much enjoyed his glass of red. Marion Trimble and Enid Baker beautified our Captain’s Room with their mixed media artwork, and all in all the best part of the night was the loud and happy crowd.
Here’s a photo taken by Wayne Belleville, thanks Wayne, and get well soon!
It was also the birthday of the Firehall Brewery Volunteer of the Decade… Happy Birthday mama! The last show of the year is coming up on August 29th, with Lefty coming down from Kelowna to help us dance away the summer. Artists Ed Dukes and Brandt Leinor will be displaying their photography for us in the Captain’s Room, and our feature winery will be Young & Wyse Collection. And with luck, Dubh Glas Distillery will be able to bring down some of their Noteworthy Gin. See you there!
