Thank you letter to Firemen
How do you thank the people that saved your home from a wildfire? So many people came to our rescue and there aren’t enough words to express our most sincere gratitude. We live in a special place.
Our local fire department is beyond prepared and capable. Cannot imagine a more dedicated, organized, resourceful group of people. The front line endangered themselves and kept the fire at bay from all the homes in the neighbourhood ably supported with backup at the fire hall.
Forestry – thank you so much for keeping us informed and having an incredible ground crew, the bombers, helicopters, Oliver Fire Dept. Women, Willowbrook Fire Dept., the Osoyoos Fire Dept.
And then there were the people arriving with trailers for our horses, helping hands to clear out the valuables in the house (what do you leave behind?), even a cat cage for Bobbi…..
Thanks to the employers who had some very weary workers and the families of the many volunteers who stayed up all night, night after night, guarding our home.
It was a special experience, confirming our belief that we live in the best place in the world.
