Opponents of leasing space in Skaha Lake Park brought their protest into Penticton City Hall after more than 1,000 people gathered on city hall steps.
Rallies for and against water slides in Skaha Lake Park held outside Penticton City Hall on Monday. Mayor Andrew Jakubeit promising to revisit that topic later this week.
The rallies were noisy but peaceful.
Tuesday: “Today, I canvassed council to gauge any interest in revisiting the Skaha Water Park initiative. Council was united in their support to continue forward with the Trio Marine Group, Jakubeit said.
The well-attended rallies for and against the marina development filled the street outside City Hall, and protesters flooded into council chambers and its overflow room, prior to the meeting.
