Lots of traffic and moving slow through the accident area which appears to be a fire scene.
Sgt. Harold Hallett of the Keremeos based SO Traffic Services says all those involved in the accident suffered only minor injuries – were assessed by para-medics and some taken to hospital for observation by a doctor. A press release will be issued sometime Friday
Town of Osoyoos CAO Barry Romanko met the student campers at the Sonora Centre. They explained they were on their way home to Cranbrook after camping in Princeton when they came upon the crash scene. A lot of smoke no serious injuries. The people in the camper – nothing known about them.
Ministry of Forests put out roadside blaze with Town of Osoyoos Fire Department called to assist.
People from a bus taken to Osoyoos to the Sonora Centre for assessment. At least four ambulances went from there or the scene of the accident to SO General Hospital. Some of them – with no emergency lights on – just routine.
First report to me: Motorhome over the bank. Kids evacuated from school bus. Everyone okay. Emergency crews at the scene.
