V-Day Oliver-Osoyoos would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our 2015 campaign the success that it was. Between the Silent Voice art show and One Billion Rising Celebration held on March 8th and the double showing of The Vagina Monologues we raised $5790.04. The beneficiaries this year were the Penticton and Area Access Society to facilitate Facets Holistic Self-Discovery programming who received $2,902.52, Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre, who received $2322.02 and the Okanagan Nation Emergency Transition House (ONTEH) who received $565.50. To date, V-Day has raised over $20,000 to help eliminate violence against women and girls in our community. Thank you to all of the hard working organizers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters!!
