Arson – Vengeance Fitness, Osoyoos

On July 2, 2015 at 3:45am, on duty members of the Osoyoos RCMP noticed smoke coming from the rear of Vengeance Fitness and Kobau Lanes Bowling Alley located on Highway 97 in Osoyoos.  A closer inspection found flames starting to build at the rear of the building.  The Osoyoos Fire Department were immediately called and were able to quickly douse the fire containing it to a small area on the roof and inside the rear of the gym.   Although the fire was quickly doused the building received extensive damage due to smoke and water.   Fire investigators have determined the fire to be suspicious and deliberately set.  The Osoyoos RCMP are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the arrest of those responsible.  If you have any information or if you witnessed anyone in the area of this business in the early hours of July 2 please call the Osoyoos RCMP at (250)495-7236 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers.
