We had a great crowd tonight for our first Summer Reading Club event of the summer. Guest artist Leza Macdonald encouraged the kids to start their Steampunk Books by first picking out their “doodads and gadgets” and then with help from energetic members of the Friends of the Library and staff the children start constructing their books. The kids were fascinated with the way their books folded together and their imaginations took flight as they crafted their story. Next week we will be “steampunking” the covers. Registration continues for this great program and we made sure we had extra books for new members registering. Please drop in or call the library for more information.
