On Wednesday June 17th, 2015 at 03:00 PM, a male was brought to the Okanagan Regional Hospital with serious injuries suffered as a result of an assault.
The injures were substantial, requiring the patient be transferred to another Hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing with multiple witnesses being interviewed, warrants have been executed for evidence in relation to the investigation.
The investigation has expanded to other police jurisdictions and is being acted upon by Major Crime Units in these locations and is ongoing.

Police officers were at the crime scene for two days indicating a serious situation.
Oliver RCMP are being assisted in their investigation by specialized units from the Penticton and Kelowna RCMP.

On June 17th 2015, at 2:56 p.m. the Oliver RCMP received a report of a 43 year old man who had arrived at South Okanagan General Hospital suffering from serious injuries. It is suspected that the man received the injuries from a targeted assault and the public are not at risk.
The man was assessed at local hospital, then immediately transported to a specialized hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. This investigation is still in its early stages.
