Munson Mountain was the scene of the local Summer Solstice celebration in Penticton yesterday, Stone markers provided by the local astronomy group mark Winter and Summer Solstice at sunset.
Yesterday with clear sky the sun sank on the horizon and the marker stones show the line up perfectly, You can see the shadow of someone stood on the summer marker stone and their shadow falls on the ground in line with the main stone with the marker plate. Sunset at that location 8.58pm
