
Update to June 16, 2015 Break and Enter to Joe’s Plumbing and Heating in Osoyoos.
On June 18, 2015, 37 year old Oliver resident, Brooks Vandenbroek was arrested for break and enter and theft relating to the Break and Enter at Joe’s Plumbing and Heating in Osoyoos. Vandenbroek was charged for the break and enter as well as several other charges of fraud and mail theft. Vandenbroek plead and was found guilty on a total of 18 charges out of Osoyoos, Oliver and Penticton. He was released on a Conditional Sentence Order with numerous conditions. Typically any breach of a Conditional Sentence Order would result in the offender having to serve the remainder of his sentence in custody.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On June 21, 2015 at 9:10am the Osoyoos RCMP responded to a single vehicle versus deer collision on Highway 3 approximately 3 kms east of Osoyoos. A 26 year old female of Edmonton, Alberta was driving a 2013 Honda Accord west bound on Highway 3 when a deer jumped out in front of her. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front driver’s side of her car. The deer did not survive the collision. The female driver was not injured. Considerable damage was caused to the front of her vehicle.
