Brush fire at Knox Mt. contained

An evacuation alert notice for residents of Magic Estates has been rescinded.

Kelowna Fire Department crews worked through the night on a brush fire that erupted in Knox Mountain Park Sunday night and will continue to address any hotspots over the next few days.

There was no new fire activity overnight, according to the regional district emergency operations centre.

The fire is now considered fully contained. Knox Mountain Road will remain closed until further notice to allow fire crews access to the site.
