Ron Teneycke has been ordered by Judge Greg Koturbash to start a 90 day jail term.
The Okanagan Falls resident pleaded guilty in April to making or possessing explosives and to firearms possession while banned.
He became ill about the same time, and an application was made to change the start date of 90 day sentence that was to be served in the RCMP cells in Penticton.
Teneycke, acting without a lawyer states his current situation with surgery has altered his whole life. e asked for a little more time so he could be stronger.
Koturbash, who has adjourned the matter several times, decided however, that he was not satisfied with the application and directed Teneycke to attend at the Penticton detachment.
“Based on the application and evidence I’ve heard, I am not satisfied there is a justifiable reason for sentence to be suspended,” he said.
