June 17th starting at 430 am, yes “AM”, PGA of Canada pro Rob Tadey and Fairview Mountain employee Thierry Martine took to the course in the 9th annual Golf a Thon for ALS.
The objective was to golf as many holes as they could (with a few side bets between them we are sure) from dawn to dusk. It is a gruelling day for the guys as they clock each round at just around 1 hour, something that takes a normal person about 4 hours and 20 minutes on a good day!
The day ended at 730 pm and the duo finished 12 complete 18 hole rounds of golf. 15 hours of golf and 216 holes later the clubs were put away.
Congratulations to Rob and Thierry for taking on a feat that is physically and mentally exhausting and joining in the fight against ALS by using their muscles for those who can’t.
