Currently in the evening sky in the west are the two planets, Venus and Jupiter. Watch these two jewels for the next few weeks as they close in on one another, by June 30, the pair will be less than one degree apart. On the evenings of 19 and 20 of June the crescent moon will pass by making for an interesting photo opportunity of these celestial objects.
June 21 is the Summer Solstice after which the days will start to get shorter by 2 orĀ 3 minutes per day
