Murder at the Golden Sands ?

golden sandsRCMP were called overnight and found a dead man at a beachfront resort.

The male victim was found at the Golden Sands Motel around 3:30 a.m. after police were called to a report of shots fired there.

RCMP at Penticton began investigating shots fired reported in the 1000 block of Lakeshore Drive early this morning, June 4.

Officers in white coveralls examined an outdoor staircase leading to the second floor of the Golden Sands Resort. The parking lot was cordoned off with police tape.

Police efforts this afternoon appeared to be concentrating on Churchill Avenue and the alley behind the resort.
