Now what?
Truth is easy; reconciliation is the difficult second act. Generations with no connection to the residential schools have come and gone, not to mention — in that time — millions of new immigrants. They may not see the need for reconciliation or feel any responsibility for it. For them, they would like to see the aboriginal community be less preoccupied with the past and have more of an eye to the future. To dwell on the past is to be trapped there. Get on with it.
