Oliver Parks and Recreation will be hosting their 12th annual Junior Triathlon on Saturday June 6th.
This is a fun triathlon to allow younger athletes, ages 6-15, to swim-bike-run in a non-competitive environment and challenge them to try the three sports and do their best.
This event is held at the Oliver Community Pool and Park. Participants will swim 50, 100, or 150 metres, cycle 3, 5, or 8 kilometres, and run 1, 2, or 4 kilometres all based on the age division that the participant fits in to. There will be refreshment stations along the bike and run route.
All participants will have a chance to win a bike donated by Canadian Tire and other prizes donated by Tri Geeks Multisport. Participants must preregister at the Community Centre Office by Friday June 5th at 4pm.
Oliver Parks and Recreation would like to thank the volunteers who assist with this great event.
