Provincial Court in Penticton was told today that doctors have admitted 52 year old Ron Teneycke for a septic bowel disorder and that, at the moment, he cannot serve a 90 day intermittent sentence.
Linda Walker, Teneycke’s sister, appeared before Judge Greg Koturbash to explain her brother’s absence from court.
Another judge earlier this week asked Teneycke to appear again with documentation from a doctor on his medical condition.
Teneycke had pled guilty to a number of new charges – possession of an explosive being the main one.
Judge Koturbash says it might be better for Teneycke to serve his sentence in Kamloops while under medical supervision at the Regional Correction Facility there.
The matter was adjourned until next Wednesday.
