Judge Meg Shaw asked Ron Teneycke to do one thing in an effort to avoid a sentence of weekends in the local jail in Penticton.
Bring some medical instructions from your doctor – she asserted.
Teneycke seems to appear in court each week and gets a remand – including today when Judge Shaw asked him to see the senior Justice of the Peace and get a new court hearing date of – Thursday or Friday or next Monday. He was then instructed to bring medical evidence (letter from Doctor) that he is not fit for local jail time.
Teneycke, looking thin and gaunt – appears to have lost 25% of his body weight and wears a machine that is cleaning his bodily fluids.
He was sentenced to do 90 days intermittently in the local RCMP jail cells but so far no time has been spent there in the months of April and May.
Teneycke pled guilty to charges of making or possessing explosives and possessing a weapon contrary to a court order. The 52-year-old was sentenced April 9th.
A court order was then made on April 30 to change the start date of Teneycke’s sentence due to health issues.
Nothing is clear until medical evidence is presented to the court said Judge Meg Shaw today.
