At approximately 8:15 pm Saturday a car lost control and went down the steep bank on the north side of Highway 3 across from Spotted Lake.

The driver was the only occupant and was able to escape before fire engulfed the vehicle.
The car came to rest on private property where owner Ron came out to deal with the grass fire.
There were no apparent injuries, but the car was a total loss.
