Data gathered by Statistics Canada suggests 1 in 5 Canadians live with chronic pain. As part of their “Year of the Wise” program engaging with local seniors, the Okanagan Regional Library is hosting seminars on dealing with chronic pain throughout the region from May 27 to June 12.
The one-hour program, led by Self-Management BC, will help people with chronic pain learn to live healthier and happier lives, and also provide information about other free self-management workshops offered throughout the Interior Health region. The program is free and open to all adults.
Pain management workshops will be held at:
– Oliver Branch: Wednesday, May 27 at 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
– Okanagan Falls Branch: Wednesday, May 27 at 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Please visit orl.bc.ca/branches for contact information and locations of branches. Registration is required.
