Roy Wood is a writer and editor who has spent 40 years in daily newspapers and, more recently, online journalism.
He has covered city councils from West Vancouver to Edmonton. He reported from the BC and Alberta legislatures and had a stint in the press gallery in Ottawa.
His career as a newspaper reporter, editor and manager included stops at the New Westminster Columbian, the Vancouver Sun and the Edmonton Journal. He retired as managing editor of The Journal in 2008.
He chaired the Journalism Program at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton for two years before moving to the South Okanagan in 2010.
Locally, his stories and photos have appeared in the Penticton Herald and on Castanet.
Recently, he agreed to report from Osoyoos and Oliver town councils on behalf of the Osoyoos Daily News, Oliver Daily News and Okanagan Falls Daily News.
