An 84-year-old Oliver man was killed as a result of a single vehicle collision on the Okanagan Connector Tuesday night.

The crash occurred about 7pm two kms east of Brenda Mines.

Police say the vehicle went off road to the right. No word as to why the vehicle left the road.

An accident reconstructionist is looking into the cause.

The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

The identity of the driver has been withheld.

The highway was closed eastbound for a few hours while emergency crews.
