The crash that closed the highway in Osoyoos was caused by a marked police car hitting a motorcycle.
Just before 5 pm Saturday an RCMP cruiser was northbound on Highway 97 near the Husky and did a U-turn colliding with a motorcycle.
The 47 year old male operator of the motorcycle and the 51 year old female passenger suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Both were transported to the South Okanagan General Hospital in Oliver.
The male is a resident of Kelowna. The female is a resident of Vernon. The RCMP officer was uninjured.
South Okanagan Traffic Services is investigating this collision.
