“Mr. Khadr, you are free to go.”
Omar Khadr – released from incarceration after 13 years – mostly at Guantanemo.
Very sad story of a Canadian boy 15 years of age caught up in a story he didn’t write.
Shame on the Canadian government for not dealing with the situation in his home country.
In 2013 as part of an ongoing $20 million civil suit brought against the government of Canada, Khadr said: “I have no memory at all of that day or anything about a grenade being thrown at U.S. soldiers”, that the plea agreement was “constructed by the Americans ………. and he had signed it only to escape the “continued abuse and torture” at Guantanamo Bay.
