West Kelowna – On April 29, 2015, at approximately 1:00 pm, a 45 year old male resident of West Kelowna was stabbed and critically injured during a dispute on Solar Road in West Kelowna.  50-year-old Joe  Amestica was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and remanded in custody.

On May 2, the 45 year old West Kelowna man who had been stabbed succumbed to his injury.

Police are currently consulting with Crown Counsel regarding appropriate charges as a result of victim passing away.

The family of the victim has asked that everyone respect the victim’s privacy and as such, a name will not be released at this time.
