Veterans accompanied by children placed candles on the grave sites of veterans who served this country in past wars at the annual Candlelight Tribute – Oliver Cemetery Sunday just as it has for several years now.

“The reason is to help youth in attendance remember what went on during World War II and the Korean War,” said Marty Foss, president of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 97 in Oliver. “That these guys were over there and that they died or survived and made it through.”
