
A 30 year Alberta man facing charges in the death of a Mission teen in a boating incident on Osoyoos Lake has been sentenced to 27 months in prison after pleading guilty to dangerous driving causing death.
The preliminary inquiry for Ryan Symington was slated to begin in Penticton court Tuesday.
On August 16, 2011 – almost four years ago Marco Corbin, 18, (pictured) died when struck by a boat.
Symington drank an unknown quantity of beer and vodka and was operating a boat that struck an inner tube with three people on in.
Crown and defence lawyers presented a joint submission of 27 months to Judge Gale Sinclair, who agreed to the sentence.
